In 1916, Ford dedicated a wildlife shrine to Burroughs at Fair Lane, Ford's home in Dearborn, Michigan. The "Burroughs' Grotto" contained a heated bird bath, a stone with Burroughs's signature, and this statue of the famed nature writer.
